Alyssa Stuart, PT, DPT
Alyssa Stuart, PT, DPT, has joined our Merrimack Valley Physical Therapy team!
Alyssa is a graduate of Boston College, where she received her B.S., and of Franklin Pierce University where she earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Her clinical experience includes skilled nursing facilities, and pediatrics and adult outpatient clinic settings. Alyssa’s clinical interests include orthopedic conditions, pre & post surgical care, has advanced training in manual techniques and kinesiotaping, and is certified in the Graston Technique as well as Blood Flow Restriction Training (“BFR”.) BRF is a method of strength training that involves restricting the blood flow out of working muscles to trick the body into getting stronger by creating a metabolic stress response. This in turn allows us to safely train muscles at very low loads, limit muscle and joint strain, while achieving the same results as heavy loading. We can now maximize strength gains safer and faster without the side effects of traditional load based training.
Most recently, Alyssa was treating clients in Amherst, NH, who we happily welcome to MVPT to continue working with Alyssa! Like all of our therapists, she is “in-network” for all the insurances we accept and currently has no waiting list for new patients.
