Alyssa Stuart, PT, DPT
Alyssa Stuart, PT, DPT, has joined our Merrimack Valley Physical Therapy team!
Alyssa is a graduate of Boston College, where she received her B.S., and of Franklin Pierce University where she earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Her clinical experience includes skilled nursing facilities, and pediatrics and adult outpatient clinic settings. Alyssa’s clinical interests include orthopedic conditions, pre & post surgical care, has advanced training in manual techniques and kinesiotaping, and is certified in the Graston Technique as well as Blood Flow Restriction Training (“BFR”.) BRF is a method of strength training that involves restricting the blood flow out of working muscles to trick the body into getting stronger by creating a metabolic stress response. This in turn allows us to safely train muscles at very low loads, limit muscle and joint strain, while achieving the same results as heavy loading. We can now maximize strength gains safer and faster without the side effects of traditional load based training.
Most recently, Alyssa was treating clients in Amherst, NH, who we happily welcome to MVPT to continue working with Alyssa! Like all of our therapists, she is “in-network” for all the insurances we accept and currently has no waiting list for new patients.
Alyssa can be reached via emailed at Info@mvptnh.com.
Joyce Tan, PTA
Marketing Director, Patient Care Coordinator
Sandy is a graduate of the University of Maine, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science. Sandy joined MVPT in 2003, initially working with patients on exercise programs under the guidance of the primary physical therapist, designing exercise programs for “graduated” PT patients, and also directed the Nashua-based small group aquatic exercise program. “Physical therapy is a team sport. Everyone at MVPT works together to bring out the best results for our patients. We want you to enjoy coming to our office, even if it isn’t for the most enjoyable of reasons.”
In 2016, Sandy was named Marketing Director & Patient Care Coordinator, both of which were new positions for MVPT. Sandy is responsible for making MVPT and the services we provide known, and sharing our patient successes with the medical community, as well as social media, website, and community based events and marketing. “We are incredibly fortunate at MVPT to be empowered to provide one-on-one care; managing each patient exactly as they need. We want our patients to realize, from their first interaction with us, that they are in excellent hands, and it is my job to be sure this is what happens for each and every patient that is entrusted to our care.”
If you have any questions for Sandy or have suggestions for our website or content for our social media pages, please email her at SRodrigue@mvptnh.com.
