Testimonials

I have been a patient of MVPT since 2003. If I have a flare-up in my symptoms, I get in to see my PT as soon as possible; they listen to my concerns and treat my back issues with great professionalism and care.

Have you put your aches and pains on hold? Now's the time to get started! Our offices are open for in-clinic care (following CDC COVID safeguards including pre-screening questions and body temperature upon arrival) as well as telehealth visits. Maybe a mix of both is just what you need: working one-on-one while in our clinic for hands-on care (such as manual traction or dry needling) with additional telehealth visits to reinforce exercises and home techniques.

Tell your medical provider you trust MVPT to keep you safe while you get the care you need to start feeling and moving better. Then cal MVPT to get started!

Today, May 15th is National MPS Awareness Day. Longtime MVPT Bedford client, Sam Caswell, was born with Mucopolysacciaradodis (otherwise known as Hurler Syndrome or MPS1), a lysosomal storage disease in which the body is missing an enzyme that breaks down sugar molecules that are needed to help build bones and cartilage. Without the presence of this enzyme there is a build-up of these unwanted molecules that store in the body, impacting all organ systems causing early death if left untreated. Since the body's only way to make this enzyme is through bone marrow regeneration, Sam required a bone marrow transplant when he was one year old. However, this was just a treatment, not a cure because the enzyme can’t penetrate the bones and thus cannot reverse the effects prior to transplant.
MPS is extremely rare and increasing awareness is vital to help find a cure. Sam will be 24 years old this July, and although he stands 3'10", has had 29 surgeries, and lives with joint pain every day, he embraces life with courage, a positive attitude, and always a big smile. Thank you, Sam for allowing us to share your story to help raise awareness of MPS.
MVPT encourages you to wear purple today to honor those living with MPS, to remember those who have lost their battle with MPS, and to show Sam our support. Please share your picture below!
