Testimonials

The professionalism and courtesy was well beyond what I had expected, not to mention the friendly atmosphere, service and flexibility of scheduling. My physical therapist challenged me at every corner with enthusiasm and encouragement while keeping me focused on the appropriate exercises. All of the above created a nurturing atmosphere to foster my well-being as soon as possible without over pushing my limits. Thanks again for the utmost care!

Timeline Photos“With more than 43 million cancer survivors worldwide, we have a growing need to address the unique health issues facing people living with and beyond cancer and better understand how exercise may help prevent and control cancer,” said ACSM Immediate Past President Katie Schmitz, Ph.D., FACSM.

The new evidenced-based guidance and recommendations regarding exercise and cancer include:

🔹️For all adults, exercise is important for cancer prevention and specifically lowers risk of seven common types of cancer: colon, breast, endometrial, kidney, bladder, esophagus and stomach
🔹For cancer survivors, incorporate exercise to help improve survival after a diagnosis of breast, colon and prostate cancer
🔹Exercising during and after cancer treatment improves fatigue, anxiety, depression, physical function, quality of life and does not exacerbate lymphedema

Vertigo is a symptom, rather than a condition itself, characterized by the sensation that you, or the environment around you, is moving or spinning.

Symptoms may be barely noticeable, or it may be so severe that you find it difficult to keep your balance, do everyday tasks, or even get out of bed.

Vertigo is commonly caused by a problem with the way balance works in the inner ear, although it can also be caused by problems in certain parts of the brain. Symptoms can also be influenced by barometric pressure changes, and can develop suddenly and last for a few seconds, or they may last much longer.

So what’s the good news? Physical therapist trained in evaluating vestibular symptoms and treating vertigo can help you! Jeremy Seibert, PT in Nashua and Jennifer Ireland, DPT in Bedford are our “go to” therapists for vertigo and other vestibular conditions, and often times 1-2 treatments are all it takes to stop the spinning and get you back to “normal.” Tell your medical provider you choose MVPT for your vertigo and call our office to schedule.
