Please welcome our newest team member, Marissa Kibbee, PT, DPT to MVPT Manchester!
Marissa grew up in Epsom, NH (just outside out of Concord) and attended Springfield College for her undergraduate and postgraduate studies, most recently earning her Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. She also minored in Rehabilitation and Disabilities studies and completed that program while studying abroad on the Gold Coast of Australia!
Marissa’s studies at Springfield College, a leading educator in the field of Physical Therapy, provided her with cutting edge research and exceptional clinical rotations that exposed her to a diverse and well-rounded hands-on learning experience. With time spent at Mount Sinai Rehab Hospital, Hartford Hospital’s surgical and ICU unit, and a regional outpatient sports orthopedic PT setting, Marissa has practical experience with orthotics, anti-gravity treadmills, aquatic therapy for a wide range of ortho and neuro conditions, and PICC lines and mechanical ventilators for my ICU patients. In the future, Marissa hopes to pursue an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) a designation of top orthopedic physical therapy provider, and a perhaps a Neurologic Specialist Certification, a designation of top neurologic focused physical therapy provider. We look forward to watching Marissa’s journey at MVPT Physical Therapy!
Outside of work, and being a native of New Hampshire, Marissa enjoys spending her time away from the clinic by hiking the State and National Parks, or by being in the gym working with her bodybuilding coach! Marissa has been involved with weightlifting and sports her entire life, but over the past 18 months has dedicated her time to pursuing competitive bodybuilding.
