Just for Kids Mission

At Just for Kids it is our passion to provide exceptional hands on physical therapy services both on land and in the pool for children and adolescents of all abilities to allow them to build upon their functional skill, live life to the fullest and do what they do best which is just be a kid.  Just for Kids Pediatric Services of MVPT takes a comprehensive approach to your child’s needs and evaluates how to best enhance all aspects of your child’s and your family’s life.  Your child’s therapist will create a specialized program that is individualized to allow each child to participate best at home, in school and in the community.

After a thorough evaluation, in which  families are highly involved in identifying goals, your child’s therapist will create an individualized treatment plan that is then carried out in a 1:1 setting. Director of Pediatric Services

Kristina is a pediatric physical therapist with extensive specialty training and certifications in the areas of pediatric conditions.  Kristina graduated from Northeastern University with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2011 and has worked in a variety of settings.  In addition, she is also a Certified Early Intervention Specialist, Crisis Prevention & Physical Intervention Certified, and is most notably Certified in Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT) and is one of only 3 providers in the State of NH with this elite certification.  Kristina has experience working within early intervention programs, in a school setting at Perkins School for the Blind, and in a pediatric outpatient setting where she has treated patients from birth to 22 years old.
Kristina joins our talented pediatric specialists and we look forward to helping to nurture and further develop this component of MVPT.  Kristina has most recently been providing pedi services out of the Nashua area, and we anticipate that she will be managing and directing caseloads that will eventually serve all four of our MVPT locations. Karen is a graduate of Franklin Pierce University, where she earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree, and enjoys varied treatment disciplines and is always looking to expand her skills and knowledge.  Karen’s education & clinical studies provided her with exposure to patients across the life span, as well as in a variety of treatment settings (outpatient clinics, hospital-based care, and home care). Karen has a special interest in pediatric physical therapy and currently works with our pediatric team to provide school based services to the local schools MVPT is contracted with. Some of the common pediatric conditions she treats include torticollis, developmental delays, muscular dystrophy, hypotonia, hypertonia, cerebral palsy, and autism/PDD.  She additionally accepts outpatient pediatric cases (for clients from birth to age 21) in our Bedford, Manchester and Nashua offices. Outside the clinic, Karen and her family enjoy trying new foods by making new recipes, sharing dishes with friends, and trying new restaurants.  While not native to New England, she and her family have visited many of the impressive sites the area has to offer with plans to continue exploring new destinations with every opportunity. Pediatric Physical Therapy Assistant

Joyce Tan, Physical Therapy Assistant, has been a valued  member of the MVPT practice for over 18 years providing outpatient and school based pediatric physical therapy, as well as orthopedic outpatient services in our Bedford and Manchester offices.
Joyce earned her physical therapist assistant degree from the NH Community Technical College in Claremont, and is licensed in NH and MA.
Her interests include motorcycles, keeping active and spending time with friends and  family.
